Hi Thatcher,
You couldn’t be more right about this post. The best piece of advice I got so far in internet marketing is when someone told me I had to go to a seminar, Ken McArthur’s JV Alerts to be exact. Since attending that one in Philadelphia this last June, I went to another one in Chicago.

You meet so many people and build so many relationships so fast, it really is the key to getting your IM business to the next level. I am building a great Rolodex of business cards that are all leading people in the field. You don’t have to break through contact forms and help tickets when you have phone numbers and email addresses.

I got to know A LOT of people in a very short amount of time and in the IM field they ALL hang out on Twitter so you are constantly aware of whet they are doing and able to stay in touch.

Go to JV Alert in Las Vegas in October, even if you are short on cash, Ken’s people WILL work with you. There are other seminars besides Ken’s find one that will be close to your home and GO!

Just go.

You will be amazed at the difference it makes to your business.

Tom Graber

P.S. Bring lots of business cards!

Great post! Besides a great learning experience, the seminars are for making CONNECTIONS! This is the way to grow your business. We all promote each other and we are all better for it! Thanks, Martha

Thanks Tom. Yeah I was at Ken McArthur’s IMPACT bootcamp in Philly 3 weeks ago. it was very empowering and motivational. Ken is a great guy.

I am going to make an interactive calendar of upcoming Marketing Events ‘nationwide’ unless you or anyone already know of a compiled interactive source like this? any leads? on that? readers? is this something you think would be helpful ?

I went to Kens JV Alert in Orlando and went to Dan Stojadinovics Internet Marketing and JV Boot Camp last weekend in Tampa. I made more progress in those two weekends than in all the weeks of sitting behind the computer networking on the web. Relationship building is key, but the most important piece of advice in this post no matter what you are doing — Get off your toosh. Great post. Thanks.

“My biggest take away from this event; was the importance of Networking and building personal relationships in real LIFE.”

This is a key ingredient to how I have built my business!
